Why Do I Have So Much Shampoo?

Well, for starters, I have quite a bit more conditioner than shampoo. :p

I have a ridiculous amount of shampoo and conditioner for a couple of reasons, the foremost being because I have long hair. Long hair requires more nourishment. Not only is my hair long, but it's been highlighted to all shit, and because it's been chemically treated, it is more prone to drying out.

So I have to use a lot of conditioner on my hair and conditioning shampoos to keep it from breaking apart, but all these products tend to leave residue and build up over a few washes, so then it becomes necessary to use a different shampoo to get rid of the rest of the old shampoo.

Most shampoos and conditioners I've tried aren't worth shit. I only keep buying the ones that pass the comb test, which is, after I put conditioner in my hair, if the comb runs the conditioner through without getting too tangled, that is a good conditioner for me. Also, I only use shit I think smells good. And I have a variety of smells and conditioning levels. Winter=more conditioner.

My hair grew longer without me giving it much thought, and I used to have a terrible time with it getting all tangled from my washing it, and then it'd take forever to get it combed out.

So I have different kinds of shampoo and conditioner because they've all passed the comb test and I need variety to keep my hair from getting all greasy with residue. I also hate shopping, so if I'm in a store, and any of the brands I use are on sale, I buy a whole bunch.

I leave 3-4 different kinds of shampoo and conditioner in the tub at the same time because:

1. I'm lazy and don't feel like remembering to switch every few days.
2. I'm lazy and don't feel like remembering to switch every few days.
3. I hate running out of something while in the shower and having to get out and dig through my cabinet dripping wet.
4. If a female friend is visiting, she will have a fabulous time sniffing all the shit and choosing which to use.
5. Because I can.
Bonus: It irritates males who have an inch of hair and cannot fathom why I need so much shampoo. :)
